Physio Assessment

Nat Broad Physiotherapy assessment penrith

At Nat Broad Physiotherapy in Penrith, we use a range of hands-on techniques, advice and exercise to aid recovery and restore movement and function affected by an injury or condition.

What can you expect at your appointment?
We will use our knowledge to assess, diagnose and formulate a treatment plan for your injury or condition.

Your initial appointment will start with an assessment which consists of two parts. First, we will have a conversation in which we seek to gather information about you and your condition, how it is affecting you and your daily life. This can give us a great insight into what your injury may be or what is causing your pain if previously undiagnosed. We will ask questions such as, how and when you first noticed the problem, things that may make the symptoms worse or better, so it may helpful to think about these things before you come.

The second part of the assessment may include assessing things like your posture, range of movement, strength, joints.

Education and advice

This forms a large part of our service at Nat Broad Physiotherapy. By educating you about your condition we aim to provide a basic understanding of what and why you have your symptoms.
Through providing advice we hope you can build on the education given to make the adaptations required to ease and prevent re-occurrence of your symptoms. We pride ourselves in taking the time to explain your condition, our approach and treatment. We believe providing insight into what is causing your problem and why can help motivate your participation in your recovery.

We use a range of manual techniques, but ultimately long term best outcomes occur when you practice advice and exercises given.  We have the use of online software to provide exercises via email, which are tailored specifically to you and are accessed through a unique password. They allow you to view pictures, videos and detailed instructions set by us to suit you.
