Advent star for Penrith

I am delighted to have been voted as one of Penrith Chamber of Trade’s Advent Stars for 2020.

The Chamber’s annual Stars of Business Awards haven’t taken place this year, so instead, they decided to ask the public to nominate their ‘Advent Stars’ – people who have gone above and beyond for our businesses and community.

Each day in December they are announcing a different star to give some recognition to those who have gone that extra mile this year.

And on Day 16 it was me – Nat Broad Physio Therapy.

Here is what they had to say…

“Nat is a self-employed physiotherapist who works tirelessly supporting her customers, continuing to provide a service despite recent issues with her jaw.  Not only this, Nat has been open about her Autism diagnosis on social media, becoming a positive ambassador for the condition by helping to raise awareness and inspiring others by proving that nothing can hold her back. Nat also gives up her Saturday morning lie-ins every week to coach young footballers at Castletown Juniors, a task that requires the patience of a saint! A true inspiration who we feel deserves some recognition! Well done Nat!

So, thank you to those people who nominated me.  I feel so overwhelmed to receive one of these awards, especially seeing some of the people who have received the others.  It means the world, especially after the year we’ve all had. Leaving the NHS and going fully employed was scary enough, but to do so 6 weeks before the first lockdown was heartbreaking. So proud of my clinic and so pleased to be welcoming everyone people back in.
